The Partnership Approach: Learning from John Lewis
The John Lewis Partnership is a visionary and successful way of doing business, boldly putting the happiness of Partners at the centre of everything it does.

It's the embodiment of an ideal, the outcome of nearly a century of endeavour to create a different sort of company, owned by Partners dedicated to serving customers with flair and fairness. In this Leading Thinkers, Leading Visions guest lecture, Andy Street, Managing Director of John Lewis and Chair of the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) will discuss how the John Lewis business is growing from strength to strength. The business has recently opened a new store in Tamworth and will open a flagship store in Birmingham New Street in 2014. So how has this success been achieved? What is their business model and what can businesses in the region learn from this? Andy will also discuss his role at the LEP and how it brings businesses together to work in partnership, to strengthen local economies and encourage economic development and enterprise.
